2013 MTV EMA Nomination List

elisabeth alfrida ====>  Justin Timberlake dan Macklemore & Ryan Lewis masing2 mendapatkan nominasi terbanyak untuk MTV EMA kali ini yaitu 5 nominasi. Sedangkan Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus dan Robin Thicke masing-masing mendapat 4 nominasi. Tahun ini MTV EMA akan digelar di venue baru, Ziggo Dome di Amsterdam tgl 10 November 2013.

Daftar di atas hanya beberapa dari deretan film yang dihasilkan oleh tangan animator dari Indonesia!

Siapa saja mereka dan apa karyanya yang mendunia? 

Christiawan Lie

Biasa dipanggil Chris Lie, lulusan ITB dan peraih beasiswa full bright di Savannah College of Art and Design, Amerika Serika ini menjadi salah satu animator di beberapa film terkenal seperti Transformer 3, GI Joe, dan Spiderman 4.

Selain animator, Chris Lie juga dikenal sebagai komikus hebat. Petualangannya di Amerika dimulai tahun 2005 saat mengikuti kompetisi action figure GI Joe. Karyanya terpilih sehingga dilibatkan dalam pembuatan GI Joe Sigma 6. Sumbangsihnya untuk Indonesia juga bisa dilihat pada komik Baratayuda yang meraih penghargaaan sebagai cerita dan komik anak terbaik di Anugerah Komik Indonesia 2011.Sekarang ia mendirikan Caravan Studio di Indonesia.  

2 Rini Triyani Sugianto

Sejak kecil jadi penggemar komik Tintin hingga berlanjut ketika lulus dari Academy of art University, San Fransisco, ia dipercaya ikut terlibat dalam pembuatan The Adventure of Tintin: Secret of The Unicorn.

             Dia juga mengerjakan film animasi lain seperti The Avenger. Berkat kepiawaiannya, ia ditarik oleh Weta Digital, rumah produksi yang menggarap film Tintin. Perusahaan ini juga yang menggarap animasi film semacam Avatar, King Kong, Lords of The Ring, dan X-Men: First Class. Saat ini, Rini sedang fokus dengan animasi pada film yang akan segera dirilis, The Hobbit.

3 Andre Surya

Melalui kecerdasannya mengolah efek film, lulusan DKV Universitas Tarumanegara ini bisa ikut terlibat dalam film Star Trek, Terminator Salvation, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Iron Man 2, hingga Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. 

Setelah berkecimpung di kancah global selama 10 tahun, kini ia kembali ke Jakarta mendirikan studio Enspire Studio. Karya teranyarnya The Escape meraih Best short Competition-Award of Merit di Amerika Serikat, serta Best Short Animation pada festival film di Los Angeles.  

4 Marsha Chikita Fawzi

Ingat Upin Ipin? Marsha Chikita Fawzi yang akrab dipanggil Kiki ini punya kiprah di dalamnya. Sebagai putri bungsu pasangan Ikang Fawzi - Marissa Haque, awalnya ingin kuliah seni murni di ITB tetapi ditentang orang tua, sehingga beralih memilih Multimedia University di Malaysia.

Sekarang Kiki kembali ke Indonesia membuat perusahaan animasi. Ia berharap Indonesia akan punya intelectual property (IP) yang sangat bercita rasa tanah air. Layaknya Upin-Ipin merupakan IP Malaysia karya Las' Copaque Production.  

Why Atlas holding up the sky and the earth?

Are you familiar with this picture?

Atlas always describe holding up the earth and sky. He held the eath and the sky as punishment from the Greek chief god, Zeus. Atlas was son of Titan, a greek god and sea nymph, Clymene. Then, one day Atlas and the other goods rebelled against Zeus and the other  Olympian god and goddesses. But, the war was unsuccessful. Then Zeus  punished Atlas by forcing him to stand and support the sky and the earth on his shoulders forever. And according to the myth, Atlas stood in the northwest region of what is now called Africa.

Which idols have the top connections in the industry?

Networking is an important factor these days for idols. There are certain idols who just seem to be friends with everyone, including very important people in the industry.

Some of the idols acquire these connections through their label, some of them are personal friends, and some just seem to have popped up randomly.

Big Bang's G Dragon

G-Dragon has a lot of friends in the K-pop industry such as Jo Kwon, Jun.K, Jay Park, Shin Se Kyung, Yoon Eun Hye, etc, but he's also friends with a lot of foreign artists, as well! He's got connections to Will Smith, Missy Elliott, Flo Rida, Justin Bieber, Mizuhara Kiko, and most recently, Hungarian model Barbara Palvin. He also has many friends in the fashion-industry such as Lee Soo Hyuk.
2NE1's CL

CL is also friends with a lot of K-poppers such as Sohee, Nicole, Mir, Hyoyeon, and Min, but she's got her own collection of international friends such as Kanye West, Will.I.Am, and, most famously, designer Jeremy Scott. KARA's Nicole

Of course, Nicole's most famous connections is her 91-line, including SHINee's Key, MBLAQ's Mir, 2AM's Jinwoon, and many others. But she's also friends with others like Hwangbo, Jaejoong, Yunho, Park Myung Soo, and even movie director Kang Jae Kyu. Internationally, she's got connections with AKB48's Maeda Atsuko

Super Junior's Siwon

Siwon has connections all over the world, across various industries and platforms. He's good friends with singers such as Nichkhun and Sangchu, but he's also really close with actors such as Jung Woo Sung, and Song Seung Hun. YG Entertainment and JYP Entertainment trainees to go head to head on 'WIN'

As per tradition, YG Entertainment and JYP Entertainment trainees always go head to head.

This year, 'WIN's Team A and Team B will be battling trainees from JYP Entertainment as evidenced on the preview for the next episode, just as Se7en and Rain, and Big Bang along with 2PM did in the past. The two producers Yang Hyun Suk and J.Y. Park are incredibly close friends, but they still didn't back up in their battle. 

After the airing of the show on the 6th, the preview for the next episode showed the 11 boys of 'WIN' going over to the JYP Entertainment building to battle with the JYP Entertainment trainees. This episode will be special in that instead of Team A & B battling each other as they've been doing for the past few episodes, the boys will gather together as one group under the YG Entertainment name to go against another label.
